Shelley grew up in Valley City, ND. She has experimented with many mediums, watercolor and oil pastels being her favorites. Shelley always expresses her love for art. She said, "I see it reflected in so many aspects of my life. I am passionate about sharing art through various volunteer projects, especially with children in the school systems. I find myself choosing vibrant colors when i create due to my optimistic personality. This exhibit features landscapes that express the values I have for nature and conservation. Being outdoors gives me a sense of peace and fills my heart with joy."
