About >
The Capital Gallery is a fine art gallery in downtown Bismarck, North Dakota, open since 2016.
The gallery was initially operated by the Lewis & Clark Fort Mandan Foundation, which began its first chapter in 1995 to build and sustain the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center & Fort Mandan in Washburn, ND. After 20 years, those facilities became part of the North Dakota State Historical Society.

Art has always been a passion of our Foundation, and in 2016, it continued its mission of sharing art by opening The Capital Gallery in downtown Bismarck. We now operate under the name of The Capital Gallery Foundation. We are a membership-supported, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and we invite you to join The Capital Gallery Society.
Our mission is simple: Celebrating Art, History and Culture
