Deane Colin Fay
Gackle, ND
His work is inspired by his surroundings, and especially by the coteau region of his home state. A coteau is the side of a valley or the hilly land between valleys, a land feature especially prevalent in the area near the James River Valley where Fay and his wife Sally make their home. His inspiration from the environment , “transforms the commonplace to the extraordinary,” and truly highlighting a lifetime spent observing his environs and turning those observations into art.
