Donlin left her writing tools behind in the corporate world of marketing and advertising, and picked up a palette knife to pursue her passion as a painter. Her works explore oil and acrylic, through impressionistic avenues of quick and vivid textural strokes and fine detail. The majority of her subject matter focuses on performing arts, and local art organizations such as the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra, Bismarck-Mandan Civic Chorus, Central Dakota Children’s Choir and Northern Plains Dance.
