Michael Haynes
Wildwood, MO
With his focus on the history of the early Western frontier, Michael’s “Uniform and Dress of the Corps of Discovery” paintings were selected as guides for the uniforms, created for the National Geographic’s Lewis and Clark IMAX film production. Throughout the commemoration of the Bicentennial of the Lewis and Clark Expedition, Michael was commissioned for numerous paintings depicting scenes from this epic trek across America.
It has been Michael’s great honor to work with a number of Indian Nations including the Hidatsa, the Mandan, the Chinook and the Arikara to depict moments in their tribal history.
