Bismarck's Capital Gallery announces branch in Medora
A new fine art gallery is opening in Medora.
The Capital Gallery West will feature regional and nationally renowned artists at the Harold Schafer Heritage Center and showcase visiting artists at the Von Hoffman House in Medora. The gallery opens May 31, parallel to the Medora Musical's opening weekend.
The branch gallery was announced Wednesday at The Capital Gallery in downtown Bismarck. Starion Bank and the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation are partners.
“Within our mission is to ‘partner with champions’ to achieve our goals, and we can’t imagine a better partner than The Capital Gallery,” said Randy Hatzenbuhler, president of the foundation.
“We’re thrilled that the first branch gallery we are establishing is with our longtime friends at the Medora Foundation,” said David Borlaug, president of The Capital Gallery Society. “Our nonprofit foundation’s previous work operating the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center at Washburn forged a partnership with them that has endured over the past 20 years.”
Hours will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week through Sept. 7, with evening hours for special events. Hours of the Von Hoffman House are noon to 5 p.m. daily.
