Terry Jelsing
Rugby, North Dakota
Jelsing's abstract works are spiritually tied to the prairie landscape, its history and its people. He works in a variety of media to evoke 2D and 3D compositions. Jelsing views his paintings, drawings and sculpture as artifacts of universal human experience. Certain images in his work — the house, the horizon line, animal/human forms — have become icons for human traits/emotion: loneliness, confusion, loss, spirituality, humor.
