About the Artist

Kayla Due is a Fargo-based artist whose inspiration comes from her admiration and respect for nature and wildlife. Growing up in a family of outdoor enthusiasts, she was taught from a young age to appreciate and respect our natural counterparts. Today, she frequently takes opportunities to absorb the scenery around her and experience nature as it was intended. She combines her love of the outdoors with her artistic vision to create wildlife pieces in both acrylic and oil paints.

Her artworks explore themes of beauty and reflection through the use of facial expressions, color, and mark making. Her styles embody a blend of abstraction and realism to capture an expressive yet whimsical style. She aims to inspire connection and appreciation of the individualism of each subject with viewers. Stopping to take in the beauty just as nature and art is intended. She believes that in a fast-paced world it is refreshing to take moments to pause and truly admire the charm of the things around us.
